AI Is Disrupting Human Resources Management
Disrupting Areas of HRM
Talent Acquisition
Talent acquisition refers to the process employers use for recruiting, tracking and interviewing job applicants, and onboarding and training new employees. It is generally a function of the human resources (HR) department.
Onboarding
Onboarding is a human resources industry term referring to the process of introducing a newly hired employee into an organization. Also known as organizational socialization, onboarding is an important part of helping employees understand their new position and job needs. It’s the process that helps them integrate effortlessly with the rest of the company. There are many activities that go into the onboarding process, from the job offer to team training. Onboarding may last anywhere from a few weeks to a year, but the most effective onboarding usually lasts at least a few months. Ideally, employees will feel confident and skilled when the onboarding process is complete.
HR Administration
Human resource administration is the management of the whole employment experience of people working at an organization. In many companies, a team of human resources professionals is responsible for implementing effective workforce management and employee development. The HR administrator coordinates HR tasks and supervises HR admin staff.
Learning & Development
Learning and Development is a term used to explain everything a business does to support professional development with its employees. Training courses, development programs, online learning, development activities – as well as much more – all fall under the set of Learning and Development.
Talent Management
Talent management is the full scope of human resource processes for attracting, developing, motivating and retaining high performance employees.
