What is HRM Human Resource Management (HRM) is the process of employing people, training them, compensating them, formulating policies relevant to them and formulating strategies to retain them. As a field, HRM has undergone many changes over the past twenty years, and it continues to play an even more important role in current organizations. In the past, HRM meant the preparation of payroll, sending birthday gifts to employees, organizing company visits, and ensuring that forms were filled out - in other words, an administrative role rather than a crucial strategic role for an organization's success.
